Swi is a Computer Science Engineer, web and desktop application developer with a passion for arts and poetry. Swi is also a researcher, an entrepreneur and a teacher where he trains students on Programming and Artificial Intelligence.
Swi Innocent won the second prize of the national competition for the best ICT project of the year held during the Cameroon ICT and Innovation Week with his project named “Cameroon e-translate”. The results of this competition were unveiled in Yaounde the last 28th of august 2020. In this interview with Digital Business Africa, he explains the objectives of his project.
Our project is about humor and subjectiveness. It was developed based on datasets of images from Landesmuseum Württemberg and nine stories from comic writer René Schweizer provided by HumorCare e.V. Deutschland Österreich.
We took the context of their contents, that were images of scrappy objects and funny texts and based it on existing card games such as Dixit and Cards Against Humanity, to build our game mechanics. After that, we tested it with friend and made some improvements.
Swi is a Tutor at the Everscale Academy and has been helping initiate new members to the community.
